Wellness Supports is a collection of student services at the University of Alberta that strive to strengthen individual and community mental and physical health and wellbeing on campus. Some of the services include the University Health Centre, Counselling and Clinical Services, and Social Worker Support.
Bold and expressive typography is a key component to the University of Alberta visual identity. With the direct PSA style of copy I was provided, I chose to make the messaging the focus and take more of a typographical approach. I created visual hierarchy, and interest through the use of different type weights, colour, capitalization, and by using both sans-serif and slab versions of the Roboto typeface.
Following the U of A brand guidelines, I established clear levels of hierarchy from section headers down to body text. I then created a consistent two column layout that I populated with the content.
For the cover, I wanted to create a sense of moving forward into a new state of being. I did this by dividing the "UA" graphic in half and colouring one side green and the other side in colour.
